Testimonials are an important part of realism
In the rare instance I keep a player for 10 seasons I line up some glamour friendly for them to play in. Once a guy left right on ten seasons to go back to Brazil, to play for Santos. So I lined up a friendly with Santos so he could play against us
That was 97/98 though when it was a tad easier to line up friendlies with overseas teams.
