Before I forget: 2 of my player-coaches retired from the playing staff....and have been swiped by other German clubs to be scouts for them.

And Argentina made it to the 2014 WC...by beating Australia in the playoff.

Well a reasonably successful season at Eintracht Schwerin. We set a club record with a 5-match unbeaten run, helping us to a new all-time best finish. And we set a club record for average attendance with more than 7,000 per game. We're 1.5 million euro in the black. And we ended RW Essen's hopes of promotion. :p

And the board is still only "satisfied" with my performance. Which is odd, because earlier in the season when we were 11th they said they were "pleased" with my performance. Methinks they didn't like the 5-2 beating at Celle we took to end the season.

Quiet close season so far. A loaned-in striker who scored 11 goals (a club record for us) is going back to his club. (11 goals and my coaches don't rate him at all

Have another central defender coming in on a Bosman. I'm actually pretty well sorted back there (captain and 2-time Fans Player of the Year is returning, as is another DC who arrived on a Bosman last summer and averaged a 7 rating). What I need is some more attackers who can put the ball in the back in the net. But they seem to be in short supply. Could be a good competition for the DMC slot: had bought one before my first season and he's done decent enough, but then found a 23-year-old on free transfer during this just concluded season, who already has some good stats.

So basically I need some forwards, and a left wing. My AMC scored 8 goals this season, despite having 2 finishing and 1 decisions and averaging a 6.2 rating. So I could do with an upgrade there. Player/coach at right back is okay, but could be upgraded. Same with the goalkeeping spot, but the central defenders are good enough to cover for any mistakes he might make, so I can stick with what I have for now.

Sounds like your coaches are just as bad at figuring out who is quality with loanees as mine often are. I finally decided to keep my own council on the subject. It's amazing how often they'll change their opinion to glowing recommendations right after you buy him.

I always let the performaces do the talking with loanees. Besides, my scouts are so poor they wouldn't be able to tell me whether Mr. or Mrs. Beckham would be better off on my roster.<HR></BLOCKQUOTE>

Didn't really matter, as he rejected a transfer to my club. He wanted about 1000 euro a week more than my board is willing to pay.

And then I had *3* coaches AND my scout poached within the first month of the season. And I'm slightly insecure, even after a 5-1 win that took us to 1-1-2 on the season.
