Well I'm not sure you should really ask for tips in this forum but set ya scouts on youg players. I've had a few England players come through that way.
If it's any consolation...When you eventually get promoted you'll get £12m in TV Funds, the down side being your Stadium will be upgraded to meet EPL standards, but this costs big bucks.
It's more than possible to be promoted to the highest League in any Country with a financially challenged Club (read LFCfan's thread in the Hall of Fame), youth players and frees being the life blood of many a LLaMa - myself included.
We (Harrogate) have just won four EPL's back to back, and retained the Champions' Cup. Several LLaMas regularly take Conference (and below) Clubs on to great things, so good luck with Morecambe.
Entirely possible, takes patience, patience, and more patience. Along with, if you do it right, good scouting and some sense of financial responsibility (though I was 8mil in debt at one point in my current save, I didn't create that wage structure though).
It's taken me 6 seasons to lose the Division 2 playoff final with Billericay. Major success does not come at the drop of a hat. It takes time to build up. For example, it's only after a successful start in Division 2 in my 6th season that I've been able to sign good quality players that actually cost a fee. I now have a former German U21, a Greek B player and an Argentinian with 4 caps in my team, all signed from English teams.
I can't tell you how I did since that would be tipping. Just don't expect things to happen quickly.
