Goalkeeping Coach or Scout? Would do you trust more?
Before I start, I'm not looking for any tips, just a problem I've come up with on my LLM save.
I employ a scout, who has recommended two goalkeepers, now as I have a player/goalkeeping coach, I have sent him to watch both these goalkeepers in action.
When I check on the scout reports, they say.
GK 1 - Scout thinks he's ok but recommends him as a decent signing. Goalkeeping Coach says he's very good and he would be a quality signing.
GK 2 - Scout thinks he's great and we should sign him at any cost, but Goalkeeping coach doesn't think we should sign him.
Do you trust a scout whose job it is to look for players, or the goalkeeping coach who should know what he's talking about when looking at a goalkeeper?
I've only really got enough room in my squad for one of them due to.
Or is my goalkeeping coach a sly devil, and because he is my number one keeper, does he only want me to sign players who are below his level, so he keeps his number one jersey, rather than recommending a very good keeper meaning he would drop to the bench?

The more I think about it, the more I think that my Goalkeeper is having me on, I'm going to go with my scout, and if it turns out he is a very good keeper who is the best at the club, then my goalkeeping player/coach is going to be kicked out of the club with his P45 stuck up his arse!!!!
Just wondered whether anyone else had noticed this happen before?

If you're having so many doubts, just check the staff attributes of both the scout and the keeper, and trust the one with better numbers (particularly the 'judging' attributes)

My scout gave a 34 year old keeper six stars for potential ability, a 33 year old keeper five stars for poential ability, and steadfastly claimed two 21-year-old keepers were not going to get any better than they were now, which was deemed worse than the two oldies, despite better stats.
The morale here is I don't trust my scouts with anything, but I don't really have a choice. I'd be getting them in on trial (if you can?) and asking your keeping coach for a coaches report.

I know what you mean sirdez24, both players are contracted to other teams, so can't offer a trial.
I know every person is different, and everyone has different opinions, I just thought that even at a LLM level, their wouldn't be such contrasting opinions on these two players!!!
Anyway I'm trusting my scout, which may annoy my keeper!!!
