I used to be a teacher. Last year I turned down a day's work (£120) because i wanted to play my new copy of FM2007! I have taken Annual Leave for FM and will continue to do so. I've never taken a sicky though, or at least, I've never admitted to taking a sicky to play it! Most of my playing time is on Saturday afternoon, listening to Five Live

Have you ever taken time off work to play FM? Post #4
A good few years ago, in the realsm of previous FM/CM's I used to have a serious addiction - and my wife was well ****ed off with me about it.
I remember she used to leave for an early bus in the morning, about 6.45am where as I used to get the train to work later and had a good choice of trains. This meant I usually got a lie in for about 45 mins/1 hour after she left.
However when I was particularly addicted to a new CM I used to be lying in bed, hear her go out the door, leap out of bed and get a few matches in before going to work.
Course my "problem" was so bad that I could regularly be seen driving like a maniac to the train station, shirt unbuttoned, no tie on, piece of toast in one side of the mouth, toothbrush in the other. So many times that "just one more game...." turned into 5 or 6.
Thankfull (??!!) a stay a home wife and 3 small kids means I no longer have those dirty, illicit early morning "sessions"!

never done it solely for FM but i worked at sainsburys and would always day dream about my plans for the upcoming season after say a relegation and planned a "rebuilding process" clawing out the carp players and keeping hold of the goodones making use of blooding youngsters so they get a feel for the beautiful (or not-so beautiful) game in a lower league, Ahh if only i had time to think about it as much as back then! lol not that i dont ever think about FM
