This is not another blast against the game, not at all. Infact, I'm enjoying my 3rd season with Newcastle, despite a couple of minor stuff here and there.
Anyway, my complain is against the appeal system in the game.Recently I played a match against Derby, and my sub got a sent off apperently for hitting the opponent with his elbow.
So, a couple of minutes later, a Derby player does the same against me - what happened? - yellow card.
After the match, the natural thing to do, was to appeal. But, did it go through? Nope, the player got banned for two more matches.
In real life, this would clearly be unheard. With two similar incidents, where one gets red and the other one yellow, the FA would most likely do something about it.
If you were at home then I'd say it is a bit strange (like the ref must really hate Newcastle!!). If you were playing away then it's perfectly possible (IRL) that the ref will be intimidated by the home fans.
Happens all the time IRL. For example how many penatlies have you ever seen awarded against Man Utd at Old Trafford?
And the fact that their player didn't walk for it (whether he deserved to or not) has no impact on your appeal since the only thing under consideration would have been the incident involving your own player.

Was playing away
I understand your point, and its perfectly valid. However from a real point of view, one would go in and have a second look at those decisions (atleast for the cause of the appealing).
However, this is a game, and it's impossible to expect such intelligence and reasonable thinking.
Just wish SI could make some kind of compensation for it in future versions.
one thing I wish was in the games would be the ability to criticise an opposing player after a match. I'm doing a save as milan, and bought ronaldinho. first league game against palermo he scores and sets up my 2 other goals. but gets hacked once in the process (the kind where their fitness level drops dramatically). then later at the start of the second half, as he shows signs of continuing his form, he gets fouled by the same guy and gets injured!
now, I wanna be able to lambast that dude in the press, but I can't!
