I decided to start the game unemployed to see how it works and well I am just watching the game progress and am I have not been offered a job. Anyone know if you even get offered a job, and if so long, how long does it take?
Or should I just start again (I am running the beta patch).
Cheers all |

I got offered a job almost straigt away, but I suppose it depends on what leagues you are running. Stick with it though, i was offered a job by German Regional South team, making waves in the Bundesliga 5th season |

It also depends on your starting reputation. If you put automatic you are likely to get less offers than an ex professional.
It also depends on the league reputations. If you, for example put premiership only and manager experience to Sunday league, a job may be impossible to come by!

| It would seem that is why I cannot get a job, only chose one nation six leagues ie England, however that is not a good option to start unemployed if your not going to be able to manage in game, seems silly really. An offer should be made early in game otherwise you just watch, wonder what SI's take on thi would be. Seems unless you choose heaps of nations you will remain unemployed, anyone care to comment?

I have found it easier to get jobs in the Italian or spanish 2nd divisions that the Blue Square. Sunday league rep, I have all English and top 2 divisions from Scotland, Italy, Spain and MLS playable. I have more leagues selected but view only.
In terms of starting reputation, i believe "Sunday league" is the lowest. My understanding of "Automatic" is, for instance, if you pick Liverpool your reputation will be set to an appropriate level for a club of that stature. If you pick Peterborough, your rep will be lower but an appropriate level for the Posh.
I dont know what impications that has for starting unemployed. Perhaps the same logic would apply so it would be at the "Sunday league" level.
???
But yes, the number of playable leagues has a massive effect.

I beleive the game will give you a job no matter what leagues you choose. For example, if youu choose Premiership only - you will eventally be offered a job. I'm not suure how that works if you select 'Sunday League' rep but with automatic, you should always get offered a job.
