An increased cost? How would that work?

The salary cap only applies to League Two sides by the way and it isn't an official ruling.

I don't know Si, that's your job isn't it .

Maybe something along the lines of an "other cost" line within the finance/wages section that will bring some of these clubs more in line with reality.

That's not a very good idea if I'm honest but I haven't a clue how to even go about including this into the game. At least if there was a reduction in the avialable cash for wages then it might be a short term fix. Sorry, I know it's not a great idea .

I'm not positive, but I understood that someone has already been fined by the powers at be, for failing to stay with the projected figures for the 06/07 season, (Bradford possibly but I will try to check and get back to you), so if it isn't official, how and why are they getting fined.

I'll have to check up on this though because I may have got the wrong end of the stick.

This article would seem to suggest that both League 1 & League 2 have a salary cap in force.

This article confirms that the League 1 salary cap came into effect 1 year after it was introduced in League 2.

This article calls it a VOLUNTARY salary cap.

I can't find any evidence of a club getting fined so I don't know ehere I got that from. I'll have to dig out some old programmes from last season, but it appears very unlikely that any club was fined if it is a volountary agreement.

isnt there similar in the premiership anyway? just thinking back to a while ago where chelsea were meant to have been spending over 75% of their income on wages or something like that and were supposedly in trouble over breaking this rule.

I'm sure it was Boston who got into trouble over this.
