How the hell are you supposed to know if the referee made a correct decision over a sending off when asked by the media? If you tell them you disagree with the decision, I always end up getting in to trouble!
Also, when looking at a replay when asked about an offside and letting the media know my thoughts on the decision, even though I may be right, it comes back and tells me the referee made the correct decision!
It seems it's best left alone and reply with "no comment" each time which seems to me a bit pointless.
Has anyone ever had any luck with disagreeing with a decision?

Take note of the commentary at the time
I've never seen any clue in the commentary </BLOCKQUOTE>
The commentator might say, "That looked harsh" or "dubious", or conversely insist it was shocking that the ref missed it. </BLOCKQUOTE>
Ok, thanks for that. It didn't actually say anything this time other than that my players thought the decision was incorrect. I backed my player and then get done for it but thanks for the advice, I'll look out for it.
"There didn't appear to be a lot wrong with that goal!" and "Player A surely took a dive!" are two dead giveaways. If he says "Did that goal look a bit dubious?" it's worth checking the replay.
I always check the replay, its always viewable in the news item immediately before the media ask you to comment. Most of the time when its dubious the ref has got it right unfortunately.

Yes but nowt special comes of it. It just says something like 'FA stay silent over criticism of referee'.
It can affect morale - say you think it should have been a goal and wasn't given, the guy who scores will either have "feels the manager is right to speak his mind" and a morale boost, or "feels the manager has stirred up unnecessary controversy" and a morale drop.
Apart from that and touchline bans, I don't really see the point, as you get one aftr pretty much every match, meaning I could get a touchline ban every second week if I wanted.
