Barcelona always reject if you are a lower league club but their B team and Reals Castilla always seem to accept and you still get a sizable sum from playing them, more so than an EPL reserve team.

It is often worth selling your most valuable player, theres often a free transfer waiting to take his place.

Try getting a Parent club who not only will pay a sum of money each year but might also loan you players which could help you progress through the leagues.
The best way is to arrange friendlies for your reserve team against Barcelona B team every third day. You get the money while your first team players don't get depressed for losing... You can make outrageous sums of money every season like this... but it smells like cheating.
