After 8 seasons with Leeds I've made them into the richest club on the planet with an massive bank balance of 150mil. Then when Arsenal made a poultry 12mil bid for my top player, who is only 23 and still developing, my chairman took the situation into his hands and sold him. Now I'm left with an extra 12mil which I don't need since my transfer budget is already 90mil. With my top player gone, my season is going downhill... This chairman thing has to be reprogrammed or taken out of the game, because to me the chairman is just too stupid.

And just to add, I can't use most of my money, since only young talents are willing to join Leeds. All my players are bought when they are less than 20. Most of them, who I can't utilize, are sold for money. I keep all the good ones. But if the chairman decides to sell the ones I need then I have no way of even winning.

And this happened already twice when Leeds have too much money. In the confidence menu they said the bank balance is so healthy that they are considering paying bonuses to all board members.

I think the FM sees Leeds as a medium reputation club, so when bid bigger than 10mil comes in FM gives a very good chance for the chairman to accept it no matter what other circumstances exist. This is really poor.

I sign all the young guns my scouts recommend me. They are all less than 2mil when I sign them and I give them a lengthy contract with tiny wage. My average squad age is only 21, so my wage is very low. The money comes from the sale of a lot of this young guys when they reach their peak and my small wage budget.

That happened to me once. The chairman took matters into his own hands and accepted an offer. But Im pretty sure I was able to cancel the sale when I was asked to comfirm it.

Chairman are different. If Ken Bates is still chairman, I know he is programmaed as an intefering chairman, as he is in real life.

As opposed to Steve Gibson @ Middlesborough who is not an intefering chairman, he doesn't sell players unless you are totally skint.

Just hope for a takeover

Ken Bates already gone long ago, while some equally poor chairman took over and he didn't contribute a cent.

Lorimer took over on my Leeds game in 2011. I've been able to reject offers for Breno for the past 18 months for a high of 22m so far. Breno himself is usually okay about it because I negotiate him up to 40m with 50% sell on fee, which the biddin club then withdraws. He's valued at around £12m at the mo.

I have a number of top players whose status I have set to "Indispensible", "Do not Loan", "No transfer status", and £40m valuation. People like Breno, Stancu, Torje, Ashley Young, Van Der Vaart.

Have been left to negotiate these myself even though bids for them have been 50% more than their valuation.

The only time the board interferes with me is when my players have an "unspecified" transfer fee / asking price. I had a defender that i'd signed on a free as backup, valued at 2.5m who hardly played. Someone came in with 3.2m and the chairman accepted it. Was a bit miffed, but signed a replacement for 1.5m so not much of a prob.

Not sure if I've just been lucky so far or if my accidental settings have had an influence.

Worth a go, but i find that once a club have bid for your player, and it's been accepted, nothing short of a miracle (ie. a massively inflated contract) will keep him at the club. While this is realistic of want-away players, you get those who have never talked of leaving suddenly upping sticks and going, when an improved contract would, irl, probably keep them at your club.
