I have this irritating problem when i'm changing from the default skin (Metallic 2006) to a downloaded skin. Everytime i try to change it the game freezes and i have to quit fm.exe. I have tried both with and without the "Skin cache". Anyone know what the problem is, and eventually how i can fix it?

1. Have you turned the skin cache off in the games preferences?

2. Have you downloaded the skin to the correct folder?

If the answer is yes to both of these then you might want to try downloading the skin again - or downloading an alternative skin. I had difficulty with changing skins on fm2005 - sometimes it just won't happen.

Have done both those two things you mention.

Yeah, i know it didnt work sometimes on FM05, but on FM06 it doesnt work at all.

Make sure you have:

- Unzipped the skin.

- Put it in the correct place (data\skins)

- Made sure you have not put it in a subfolder. i.e. it should be data\skins\SKIN_NAME then you should see serveral folders and xml files.
(Make sure you have not put it in data\skins\SKIN_NAME\SKIN_NAME).

- Try deleting any cache files in data\cache.

- If none of that works, delete the skin and redownload the skin from elsewhere and try again.
