However, a "don't put people's names in thread titles" rule (and I won't make an issue of "michaelfoster"'s lack of punctuation) seems a little out. Your names are posted along with any message you send. I'm a new poster. I wasn't aware that I *could* email Dan. And, having glanced briefly over the window now - even with my foreknowledge - I struggle to find an obvious way of emailing him. Now, I'm sure it's possible. I'm just saying it's not obvious how I'd go about it.
The point of mentioning Dan's name in the thread was simply to draw his attention to it. Having scrawled through page after page - indeed, website aftre website - looking for the information, Dan's list was the first I'd come across. I wanted to be sure he'd find the thread. I understand that you don't want this site becoming a chat-room amongst members, but there is no easier - or, more apparent way - of contacting people who seem actually to know what they're talking about.
This leads nicely on to "it would be easier to email him". Again, there's no obvious way of doing that. Unless I'm meant to click on his name, - which is an idea which has only now occurred to me. I challenge, however, that this is an easier way of his fielding a question. Firstly, it leaves me not knowing how to email him, without some degree of consideration (which would suggest - at least to me - that it isn't easier than the method I chose). Secondly, it potentially leaves Dan with a large number of emails to deal with. Thirdly, it leaves the other board members unable to learn from my question - which would seem to defy the entire point of the board.
I think that you guys are eminently sensible - which suggests you likely have a good reason for the rules you try and follow. But the reasoning behind this one eludes me. Again, I could be wrong. It may be that I’m being daft. But the complaint seems unfounded.
Thank you Ozzie for the information you gave me. Again, though, I have to ask where the info comes from? I now have three different suggestions:
•That a -10 PA randomly configures a PA between 190 and 200
•That a -10 PA randomly configures a PA between 180 and 200
and
•That a -10 PA randomly configures a PA between 170 and 200
Regardless, your information was unboundedly more useful than the complaints I got from michaelfoster. And Dan, I appreciate you don’t memerise every post you write, so don’t sweat it too much. The link for your post is: http://community.sigames.com/eve/for...2/m/9272016181
If you can give me any more information, please do. I’d greatly appreciate it. I’ll check out this thread tomorrow, or, alternately, you can email me. Apparently.
Thanks again,
--Don

I found out when a player is a "Wonderkid".
If you edit (ingame) the reputation of a young player and make it high enough to be global, it will be a wonderkid. I just found it out. |
