I am intending to make it available but im not sure which db files i need to give out to make it work. Is it just server_db and people_db??

And does anyone know somewhere that could host the huge files?

you would need all of the database files are they are all needed for alignment:-

client_db.dat
lang_db.dat
people_db.dat
pl_hist_dt.dat
pl_hist_id.dat
pl_hist_index.dat
server_db.dat

I was one of those involved in the, unsuccessful, attempt to make this sort of update for FM2005.

It seemed to work fine when selecting the English leagues, but if Italy or some other nations were chosen at startup the game would crash during setup.

Hopefully whatever was causing this error has been fixed for FM2006 and fingers crossed VillaNz can get it to work this time...

When it's ok, all you have to do is zip the db folder, and put it somewhere...
