With a midfield like that I wouldnt expect too many problems!
As another person has suggested, I use rooney in a normal forward position but with a down arrow. Forward runs are still to often though but creativity is around normal. I think a higher creativity would be beneficial for him but at the moment the team is doing well and plays nice and compact without the ball (rooney tucking just into midfield) and with the ball rooney linking up nicely with scholes and david villa as well as driving forward to score as well (he was premiership top scorer last season- villa was second).
I'll up his creativity once i get a more solid midfield in place of scholes and carrick.
