Just to say the t&t forum is bloody brilliant. I've been reading constantly about peoples thoughts and views on all things tactical in FM and generally don't post as most of the time someone else asks the question for me. I just leech off the answers people post.
There are so many different thoughts on all aspects of the tactics in FM. I did use to have a standard thought on tactics that i thought was right, but my views have changed after FM2005. I've tried many tactics, many changes and like most had ups and downs.
After reading alot in this forum i decided once again to start from scratch and make my own tactic. I would have normally gone with a diamond, but i just couldn't seem to make it successful.
I really just want peoples thoughts on it. Good and bad, i just want to know peoples opinions on it. If you don't like the look of it, then say so.
I do change things on it. If at home i will sometimes put mid forward arrows on ML and MR, it all depends on who has been made odds on to win. I did have a target man, but after reading cleons thoughts on it, that it could make it to 1 dimensional, i took it off. i have to say that i am happy without no "official" target man, as when i took it off he is still winning alot of headers.
I will also change the tempo, slow if against good opponents, quick if i should win.
I have alot of things on normal or close to normal because alot of settings are done individually.
I got barnsley to 11th with this last season, but with a few man city, fulham and watford coming down, there are quite a few big teams in the divison. I've found it very hard buying players but i have managed to get at least one half decent for each position. These are my latest results as of writing this, and it's not going too well
