It's no use having a squad full of star players without a decent way for them to play their football.

I think using your DMC as your playmaker is a shrew move, especially some1 as talented as Xabi Alonso.

In any game where i play a DMC he often gets a lot of time on the ball as he is operating in between the oppositions midfield and attack and doesnt tend 2 b very tightly marked. Now, with the amount of the ball he sees,if you can get someone who can use the ball well whenever they'v got it then i think you could be on to a winner.

Also, when attacking my DMC seems to pick the ball up just outside the oppositions box quite often so if he is good with his long shots he can usually score a fair amount of goals.

Isn't a shrew a small rodent?

On topic, excellent idea. I alternate my playmaker between my AMC or my DMC depending on if I am counter attacking or not.

Shrew -- that's really not important what it is

This swapping thing looks promising (AMC DMC).. As I got Steven Gerrard.. don't want his skills go to waste.

I don't like the idea of using a player maker but then again it depends on the players you have and the playing style you choose to deploy.

I personally prefer attacking wingers and a midfield anchorman with good passing and creativity to spread the play. Sort of playmaker but with more defensive responsibilities.

Or you could always put a playmaker in the playmaker listings box, but dont tick USE playmaker, this will then allow your team mates to decide when to use a playmaker (obiously good dicision stats needed through out the team is more important for proper use) which i find very handy indeed, a bit like a target man whos not selected, they still aim for him when its better to do so and also if you select what part of his body you want to aim for they will do that. So even tho there is no proof that the playmaker/target man is selected, i think what i just pointed out there shows that they actully will use them even tho not ticked

My playmaker is Cesc... I think as long as it's someone who's consistently in attacking options... it's fine.

i picked this up today, i watched fab in real life and he sits quiet deep really picking passes from long range, but yeh he dose go on fwd runs somtimes but i wouldnt put him down as an attacking midfielder more a scholes type player who dictates tempo, but if the options on he will get fwd.
