My Milan tactic gets the job done pretty convincingly:
---------------------Akinfeev---------------------------
-----Alves-------Nesta------Cristico-------Kaladze-----
Elano and pirlo are Centre Midfielders, with arrows going back to DMC, they still attack though, Elano still scores some great goals. Diaby and Gattusso my back-ups also offer goals aswell. Then you have the 3 attacking midfielders and a lone striker. It's solid in defence and great in attack. You need to set a playmaker though, and set the tempo fairly high and make the tactic fairly attacking.
I've played with a similar tactic to that, only without the back arrows on the CMs and playing slow tempo. I just have one of the CM with with a DMC setup, which works well.
Slow tempo and attacking. Only works with top class teams though.
Just out of curiousity danm2501... what season are you in? Cos... Alves, Cronaldo, Aguero... all stupid money. Amauri is like 10mil, and I can imagine City let Elano go cheap.
