Thinking of buying a DM in first jan window and he is available for 3m. However, i'm not convinced by his tackling, marking, anticipation and positioning stats though. They are all at 11.

Any advice from someone who has had him?

He's a great player, but defensively I don't find him to be as good as Lucas/Veloso etc. If you're getting him, I'd say to do it if you want a CM who's a bit more defensive than he is attacking, but not as a full on DM. Just my thoughts.

He's not a good DM mate. That is, defensively he's not a good DM (sounds strange!). He's great on the offensive end though. But his marking, tackling stats dont become anything great sadly. Would definitely not advise going for him if you need someone who you want should help out in defence.

So in a central midfield partnership with modric, banega wouldn't be ideal?

Get Mirel Radoi mate. Fantastic player and very consistent. Would only cost about 1.5-2M. :thup:
