As it's my first promotion from the Conference ever, I feel obliged to stay and finish the job with BPA. I don't think Bedford will be up this season as they did not get past the FA Cup Qualifying and didn't appear in the second round of the FA Trophy

Enough of R & D, Bradford Park Avenue are my concern at the moment.

The game date is currently 8.1.08 and BPA have played 26 games of the third division season and are out of all the cup competitions.

However, we lie 2nd in the third division, with 57 points, 9 behind the leaders Darlington, and 12 ahead of 4th placed Preston. We have only lost 3 league games and are currently the league's highest scorers with 72 goals :cool:

According to the press we are steamrollering through the third division, and I have only brought in two first team players, for a total cost of £90K. The bank balance is currently £1.75 million in the black, and I have £400K to spend. I have had a look at my total spending at BPA, where I have spent £250K on players, and received back £2.175 million. Good return on the board's investment I think .

For the first time ever on 01/02 I have been offered a job without applying for it. Albion Rovers, 5th in the Scottish First Division at the time came a-calling, but I have a job to complete at Bradford Park Avenue

It's looking good this season

NEWSFLASH

LLaMas were dancing in the street at the end of April 2008 as Rushden & Diamonds were relegated from the Conference. Bradford Park Avenue manager Charles Bull was seen to have a particularly smug grin on his face

Anyway enough of Rushden, Bradford Park Avenue made it a second consecutive promotion, and with it the third division championship on goal difference from Darlington. In the process we set a new record for goals in a season.

We just kept up the form of last season, with goals coming from all over the pitch again. Our 21 yo FLC was top scorer for us, and a number of the youth are coming through, giving me hope for the next few seasons. We lost a few silly games to teams well down the league, but won those that mattered against the teams at the top.

So after many CM seasons trying to get out of the Conference, I now manage two successive promotions :cool:

It's onwards and upwards with the Avenue

Many apologies about the suggestion of extra money, I just got that impression from reading the opening part of your story in the Hall of Fame.

And if I can achieve half of what you did with BPA I will be more than pleased
