I'm pretty sure Gradi played for my local team Sutton United, as well as Wimbledon when they were a non-league team. My Dad played under him for the Surrey schools team about 35 years ago, which must have been one of his first coaching roles.

So what we're saying is that more than 99% of managers of professional clubs were professional players themselves?

If you want to implement the design your own manager thing, that I hit on in my earlier post, then you could spend some of your "design points" on your reputation perhaps?

Let's just say that the LLaMas would want to have things more difficult with no reputation, whereas the majority of CM4 players would all whinge if they couldn't start as a Premiership team. I think we already know who the winner will be.

Robbo is right, Gradi did indeed play for Sutton & Wimbledon, but he never played professional, the boring trainspotting geek!
Come on... a Stoke fan can't mention Gradi without insulting him!
