It's been awhile since I last played my Brazilian save at Ipatinga. Have been slipping into non-LLM playing lately so I had to come back to one of my favourite saves to get back into it.
Have won the MG state league for a 4th time (it's getting boring, over 2 seasons and 54 games since we lost in this competition) in 5 years.
The real challenge will be in the National Division 1 where we need to finish top 2 and qualify for the Copa Libertadores after missing out narrowly in the last couple of seasons.
Oh, and the Maracana is now down to 8000 seats Not much money in Rio!
Alternatively I could try and win one of the cup competitions in the meantime.
We have to qualify for continental football soon or I will walk away again. That was the cause of the big break this time. Its not so bad after a spell but it'll start getting annoying again real soon.

Of course not
It is rather bizarre though. Most people tell me about seeing it with 500,000 seats. It must only be when you actually load the Brazilian league that the financial problems become apparent.
I've already had one takeover in 10 seasons, and am rapidly heading towards another!!
Well no luck in the cups so its all riding on a top 2 finish in the ND1. Went the first 10 games without a loss but form has slipped a bit. A couple of outstanding young talents from the academy have meant our dire financial situation is not affecting the players available. However that awful fear of selling, a terrible phobia for any cash-strapped LLaMa, has hit me. Despite the fact the 4.1m on offer would have cleared my debts completely I just couldn't sell my best defender to Palmeiras.
Our intrepid heroes riding high and evil rivals Atletico Mineiro are struggling Cruzeiro aren't going too good either.
Don't cry for me Ip-aaaaaa-tinga...
We stuffed it up again. We finished second after the regular season but lost in the semi finals. Third season in a row we've lost in the semis.
In my frustration I free transferred out half my reserves who were wasting much needed cash.
I sold a Brazilian international defender which made a nice dent into my debts but might make it tougher next season. A young defender from the youth academy (I got one once after a takeover rather than signing players... a shrewd move indeed) won young player of the year and is surely destined for the national team.
If we can't do it next season I'll walk!!
(I seem to remember saying that last season too )
The preparation for another crack at ND1 was a joke... 22 games for 20 wins and 2 draws in the state league. I'm not bragging when I say this, but 76 games without defeat (over 3 seasons)and a run of 20 games without a loss is not a warmup for the real thing. It must be like trying to warm up for the ECL in the League of Wales?
Something is holding us back from becoming as big and successful as the Rio and Sao Paolo clubs. My star right wingback is leaving on a Bosman, all the big clubs in Brazil as well as Boca and Juventus are targetting my best defender, and my left wingback is annoyed I won't let him join Vasco.
Maybe its being from Minas Gerais state that is the problem because Cruzeiro were killing everyone in the first few seasons, but have slumped into Division 2 and the other 2 big clubs have been worse.
Someone in Rio has got some cash from somewhere and added 5000 seats to the Maracana, but it still won't have much of an atmosphere with only 13000 seats
