The sale of my top young defender to Europe has certainly weakened my defence but we are still battling on to try and finish top 4 (this is actually a bug as it should be top 8 who make the playofs).

Despite a weaker defence, my goalie who I thought was struggling is playing better than ever and my midfield is just mind-blowingly talented. My strikers are finally starting to measure up now. Two young fellas who look destined for big careers in Europe, but hopefully [bold]after[/bold\ we win ND1

The real update...

We're struggling. We should stay up but my defence just isn't standing up. I've got more D Cs coming on Bosmans in the close season and I hope it helps.

I can't see anything dramatic but a mid-table finish should ensure the board are satisfied.

Midfield and strikers continue to impress, just need to stop leaking goals.

We've hit form

I changed the formation slightly, and changed keepers. Out goes Brazil #1 and in comes Brazil U21s #1 (I am blessed in this department). We've only lost twice in about 12 games and now with 7 games to go we need to bridge a 4 point gap to make the top 4 (and the playoffs).

We've made it!!!

Going into the last day we were in 5th, one spot behind Juventude in 4th spot. They had to play 3rd place Flamengo meaning I was a chance if I could win.

A 3-0 win for us and Flamengo doing the job on Juve meant we made it. Incredible considering we were looking at a relegation battle about 2 hours ago

I hope the swear filter is working cos we've ****ed it up again!!

A 5-2 loss away in the first leg to Palmeiras sealed it really. 0-0 at home as they proved nearly impossible to break down.

Our 4th semi-final loss in 5 seasons 5 if you include the Copa Libertadores

Ah, it'll all be like Ipswich. You've spent ages getting success, you'll eventually get it, you'll do really well, then it'll turn to sh1t.
