Default LLM: Forum or Police State

Moderators; this is for you. What is going on in this forum? I have posted here a few times and have had my integrity questioned, my motives questioned and even been personally insulted. Why? I have posted nothing offensive and I have broadly followed guidelines. I post to share knowledge and experience with other players of LL teams. So, why the negative, spoiling attitude of the LLM secret police? They are not official moderators, they post nothing of any value or use whatsoever.
You know who I refer to. If in doubt, just view any caustic and sometimes vitriolic response to anyone who slightly bends the guidelines, or doesn't conform to their secret police speak.

So, what is the agenda of the secret police? and what do their coded messages mean? I doubt if they play the game, or even understand it. They probably don't even own a copy of FM. So what are they up to? My own feeling is that they may be subversives, possibly a National Front group; they display the right behaviour in rampant xenophobia. Or, England follower's troublemakers club? or something altogether more sinister? I could make suggestions, but will desist as I don't want to cause offence. But, more likely, they're just a bunch of aging, paunchy, stay-at-home, social misfits whose idea of adventure is abusing others in cyberspace anonimity. True, eh?

And what of the guidelines? They are just that. Guidelines. Not rules set in stone. I play true LLM in that I find the lowest of the low (i.e no players, no staff, no money and a minimal wage budget). Yes, it means I use an edt file, but that is my way of playing and no-one can tell me it is wrong, or where I can or cannot post.

There, I've said my piece. Moderators, no worthwhile discussion can be held on this forum until it is cleansed of the poisonous garbage that currently lives there. It's up to you.

In my quest to be kind to idiots, I'd just like to point out the inaccuracy of that statement

You are wrong. This forum has very clear rules about editors and their use is simply incompatible with LLM. You can try to post here while you use one, but expect to get told in no uncertain terms that you are not welcome. It's rather like sitting in a no-smoking restaurant and lighting up, they have a very clear policy about smoking and quite rightly will expect people to respect that. You will be asked to leave, if you choose not to. I’m sure you can guess just how interested they’d be in hearing a lecture about your right to smoke.

Of course it's your game and you can play it as you wish, but if your game is not played within LLM rules and guidelines, then we do not want to hear about it.

If you're unhappy with any treatment you receive, email mods(at)sigames(dot)com with an example of how you've been mistreated and it'll be dealt with.

One point to note - there are clear rules about where you may or may not post - and if you don't adhere to them the mods are within their rights to suspend your posting rights, although that is extreme.

Overall, if you adhere to the rules and try and abide by the guidelines, you'll be welcome here. However - using the editor in any way in this forum is, as far as I know, contra to the rules.

Good luck.

Certainly topical, I'll give you that, but should it be a weekly or fortnightly collection?

Saying you play "True LLM" just because you say you do is a bit arrogant. Particularly since the guidelines - not just for LLM as it's recognised here, but for this specific forum - state that using the Player Search screen is a real no-no.
How you play the game is, in fact, entirely up to you. You bought it (or stole it, borrowed it, downloaded it illegally or were given it), you can turn the disk into a coaster for all we care. But if you want to post in this forum, you abide by the Guidelines as stickied above.

And insulting people on the internet by calling them a "bunch of aging, paunchy, stay-at-home, social misfits whose idea of adventure is abusing others in cyberspace anonimity" is firstly amusingly hypocritical and secondly just a little bit rude.

So please, go away.

Tough. We moderate the forum as we see fit. If you don't like a decision we've made, email us instead of posting crap like that on the forum.

Just count yourself lucky I have decided not to warn or card you for wasting my time.
