I think you're looking way too far into it, skershaw.
If I give my players more and the club fall into financial ruin then the directors can sell the club, sack me, and I'll ruin another given half a chance.
No skin off my nose, no money out of my pocket, spending someone else's money with their blessing's a dawdle.
"As realistic as the game allows". The game stops you spending too much on wages, LLM's never been about unrealistically hobbling yourself.
The game's difficult enough without making it harder.
I know what your mean iajafer, I think my problem is that because I am around non league football in real life, know alot of indepth information from the bottom of the club upto the board level, I know what financial hardship can be for non league teams, and how a wage budget is extremly rigid, and in most cases boards reduce wage budgets during seasons if things aren't going too well. And only increase them when things are going really well or after good cup runs.
So I suppose that when it comes down to it, I look at the money side of things more than some managers on FM would.
Don't get me wrong, everyone is entitled to play LLM whichever way they want.
I just choose to try and keep my club in the black as much as I can, and try to stay under my wage budget, as I think (only my opinion) that managers in the real life BSN or BSS would have to keep an eye on how much money they spend on wages.
Just out of curiosity, not only addressed to you Skershaw.
I see a lot of updatethreads where the user informs us, the readers, about the value of the club, the budgets, the number of season tickets sold and the average attendance. Are those things so important in FM or do you just put it up in your reply just to make the reply a bit longer?
I'm in a similar position at the moment, skershaw. I think that as the manager you have to make the decision about whether it's worth the risk. Mr Paisley obviously did and it worked out. If he hadn't got promotion, the board might have been sending him on his way.
Likewise for me at the moment. I'm prepared to go over the budget because I think it's the way I'll stay in the league; and right now I know that staying in the league will make us more profitable than keeping the board happy for now and getting relegated. If my gamble fails... I might be packing my bags.

Apart from that question:
TG!KUTGW!!
Seems irrelevant to me in an update. Not as irrelevant when people type up who won the Champions League every season though, or FA cup etc etc.
