If you are correct then there will be plenty of b)'s next year and we'll get what is coming to us.

In the past we have had worse reactions to our games than this year yet still the sales figures have backed us up. All we can do is try to make the best game we can and see what comes from that.

But as a few have pointed out already, does it really need multiple threads saying the same thing? I sometimes think the negative threads have the effect of putting other people off the game needlessly, which I dont like. After all, everyone who bought the game had a chance to try the demo first......if they thought it was pants they wouldnt have gone and bought it surely?

Paul
Thanks for all the updates in this thread. I think though if you consider that the first update on the status of the patch was in response to a "negative" thread you can appreciate why they will keep appearing. If an SI staffer could have posted an update a couple of days ago saying it's still at least a week away or whatever you would have had less negative feedback. People would still bitch and moan... but this is the internet after all

In these instances more communication with your customer base can only be a good thing as generally people hate to feel ignored

Respect points +++ PaulC for actually coming into the forums and sifting through the garbage to give a genuine answer.

While i'm not entirely pleased with the outcome of the game, it's not like all these bugs were left in the game on purpose. I certainly couldn't do a better job of making this game and i'm gonna go out on a limb here and suggest 99.9% of the people on this forum couldn't either.

It burns me up to see people slagging off the programmers and testers of this game when they are put to a timeframe and a budget and expected to deliver. Constructive criticism is one thing but to come on here and just hate on the game is just nuts when you could actually be helping out the guys who code it.

Go to the bugs section and report it all if you are unhappy. :rolleyes

how old are you???? think you should contact santa on this. </BLOCKQUOTE>what's your point? if that's the best response you can make, maybe you should start growing up yourself!

I dont care if bugs are present in FM as long as the game is playable and not affecting anything serious. I would rather have SI make a game with bugs because I know they will soon release patches rather than have no new installment of FM at all. Thats how good FM is

Dean i payed my money like you did, i will express whatever opinion i see fit.

I do not for one sec think that i could make a game like this, or even know where to start, however SI are market leaders, and they charge £25 per disk for their product.

As for the testers and programmers, someone must be held accountable for the poor state of the game on release day.

As i have said before, I love FM, but this game is not up to scratch.

Thanks

I keep reading of a fiasco last year with the beta testing, something about SI being betrayed. What happened?

One of the beta testers released a copy of the game online.
