Two ways in which this is utterly irrelevant:
1. Spending money doesn't necessarily come from the club bank balance
2. The operators of Spanish football clubs lie habitually about their budgets, targets and anything else that will make them look good.

The English leagues are not over-rated. It's just that the game is made by Brits, and the engine currently favours a style of football that plays to the strengths of certain types of player.

just cause an owner is rich doesnt mean he is gonna throw his money into the transfer market.

People just have the narrow minded opinion that because real madrid are a bigger club then pompey (whom i hate to be honest) that thay will have more money to spend. its a farce, the game will never be perfect to people like this, they want everything to be easy and simple for their simple minds. Its silly, do people honestly think that sigames will cheat in favour of the british just cause they are british?? this doesnt favour them in any way what so ever. the game is a world wide game, it is in sigames favour to be unbiased.

With that in mind, it would be more likely that they would dumb down the English players due to the Anglo-Scot rivalry. Not that I'm suggesting they have (or even would), but it would certainly be more likely.

well maybe being scottish they might be afraid to seem biased against the english hence being overly generous.

This is more or less irrelevant, but I've just run a ~15 season long holiday game to check out some long-term issues (FM passed btw \o/). It got to the start of the 2022/23 season. Portsmouth was then the biggest club in England measured by success. Chelsea got relegated that very season. Portsmouth had won 9 of the last 11 Premiership titles, and even won the odd CL trophy.

For the ranters, please don't jump to the conclusion that Portsmouth will get this successful in every save and tie it to the starting bank balance. The game is a lot more complex than that.
