So, the problem isnt that this kind of result happens... its the fact that it happens way to often in FM and is caused by the flaws in the match engine.
The game seems to create far to many chances more often than not and the only way the game can stop the inevitable stupidly high scorelines is to have them not score 90%+ of the chances, either by the Gk saving them (superkeeper maybe?) or your star striker blasting yet another over the bar from 6yards out.
Until SI sort out the match engine these kinds of results with the stats to go with them will carry on being a regular occurrence.
