Reason i ask is what happens if don't agree.
I had this also once, and i agreed with it because i had already players who moaned about to much competition and i could afford it.

That happened to me too, with that Schumacher guy in Ascoli (I think...it was a club in Serie B). I declined and then got hit with a sucker punch as he hit a certain number of appearances and his former club got something like £8m out of my empty bank account.

Needless to say, everyone at the job centre wasn't so surprised to see me come the end of the season...

That sucks, i also often forget to look at the transfer screen when i take over a new club.
They sometimes have 1 or 2 players with extra fees for goals or matches.
Was this player disappointed when you declined his request?

I got it in the oppisite direction when i was benfica and signed figo, inter payed some money towards his wages.

this had happened b4 for me, while i was managing Aston Villa and Petrov needs $$ to move away
