When you play a career game in FM, do you use your real name or a made-up name? If you've done both, have you noticed a difference in how you play?

I use my real name. Dont think there would be much of a difference with what name you use tbh

I've done both, but now I only use my real name unless I particularly want to be another nationality. It affects your game play only if you go for realism and be your own nationality in another country.

I prefer my own name of course, i would like the credit for the success please, i think any1 who uses a made up name is in case he created himself in the game and doesnt want to have the same name for both Man and player,

but i assume that 90% use their real name, so it's kind of a silly question to ask, i said that just in case people are gonna come out here and prove me wrong!!!!!

i made up "Roberto Ruini" in cm00-01 after something i heard on tv when i was a wee lad. became a barcelona & valladolid legend, so it's stuck in every version since.

just googled the name: "Roberto Ruini: President of the Province of Reggio Emilia" :cool:

my mate used his real name and nationality, but couldn't understand why no top clubs wanted a Jamaican manager

I always use my real name - although once I accidentally started a game as "Untitled User" - I had to "retire" him.

I always have the word 'User' in the surname, but in the local vernacular.

Italy: Userino
Spain: Userez

Another Jamaican. Well okay, I'm not really Jamaican, but due to my Jamaican born grandfather I could technically represent them internationally. Thus, I always put it as my second nationality. I think that's a nice feature by the way.
