I am a big FM fan but for the past 3 years I seem to barely play the game until post transfer market patch.
I think this year it's mainly because of the bugs and problems I've had with it.
Does anyone else seem to play it more after the patch?

I dont usually wait but i am waiting for the new patch to come out before starting a new game. I hope its not going to be to ong. Does anyone know when its coming out

That's how it was for me with FM2007. I started playing it seriously in March.

I was eagerly anticipating FM2008 but I haven't played at all because my PC is showing its age and the graphics weren't available at the start. I will probably start a long career with a Conference team once the patch is released.

I don't play it anymore. Played the game for a week, but now I'm waiting for the patch.

What have I learned? I won't buy FM09 before march next year

Since SI want to implement the transfers during the Jan08 window, the 802 patch should come out in the upcoming few weeks, possibly toward mid-end Feb

For me the game with the 8.0.1 patch is 97% fine - just the closing down bug irritates, but not to the extent that it spoils the game.

I'm well into a career so prolly won't start a new game with the 8.0.2 for a few months.

I didn't play 07' properly until 7.02, i struggled much in the way I have with 08', it just doesn't feel right at the moment. On 7.02 I had my best ever FM game though so I live in hope!

i'm not specifically waiting for the patch although of course i will be playing it after the patch comes out.
i wont be restarting straight away though as i've been enjoying the saves i've been playing currently anyway.

Still it remains a disgrace that a game is only playable only 6 months afther his release. and even that is not yet sure.

I bought S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 3 months afther it's release and there were already two patches out which fixed the most bugs( and there were a lot in)
