If the new patch fixes the XML parsing problem, I will definitely start a new game. If not, I'll probably only start a new game if the other problems have been addressed AND you need to start a new game in order to make the changes effective.

As it happens, I started about 4 or 5 games in 07 before the 7.0.2 patch, and only one after it came out, one of my longer career games since I started playing CM/FM.

why don't SI give us a patch now? I don't care about the January transfers, as I won't use them anyway. So why not let us have a patch now, so I can play a game I bought months ago?

Well, first of all, many FM gamers want the January transfers. Secondly, we don't know which is taking longer, the transfers or other patching that has to be done.

last year the patch weas released at 23/02/2007. for sure that it will be a good reference for us.
i'm waiiting too for the new patch for give another try to the game.

If i update to patch 8.0.1 will i still be able to continue the game i started with 8.0.0 ????

Maybe the transfers should be a separate patch to dl, if you've signed a player who moves in the window does he dissapear from your side, that doesn't sound ideal??

I understood perfectly. My point was twofold - 1) you don't know which is holding up the release of the patch and 2) I doubt very much that SI would want to have to deal with setting up two separate patches.
