i am currently playing with afc wimbledon in my 2nd season in the conference.

im now at the end of march and just looked at my next load of fixtures, this is truely a joke.

halifax - A - wed 31.3.2010
cambridge - H - sat 3.4.2010
rochdale - H - mon 5.4.2010
york - A - tue 6.4.2010
burton - H - thur 8.4.2010

ive never seen anything like this IRL, i have seen similar predicaments on FM, and it really annoys me.

has anybody had similar situations to deal with?

Yes. Often. A "Find" for "fixture congestion" should yield numerous tales of woe, some more egregious than yours!

Are you playing with the 8.0.1 patch, and if so, did you start your game before or after installing it?

I could possibly understand that if you were in the Premiership and playing in Europe and still in FA Cup.

Are you in any cup competitions for the lower leagues still?

if you have a screenshot you should create a new record in the record thread for this :p 5 games in 8 days will take some beating!

Please...I had 9 in 14 days, including the last five days in a row at the end of the season, with Real Salt Lake.

I had 3 games in a day once! and had to win at least 2 of them to win the title, to say I was upset would be an under-statement, especially when I lost the last 2 due to exhaustion...

what a terrible way to try to be funny.

anyway, had the same thign with wimbledon. Don't remember the exact dates etc but it was also 5 or 6 games in 8 or 9 days
