After the successfull Thread for fm05 in regards to having your own photo on your manager profile I was wondering how it is done in fm06 ? I will be getting the game hopefully in about 10 days time and want to know before I get the game.

the same way

put your picture in a folder and link it in an wml file with the ID you'll get once you load a new game

In fm05 I put my photo in the regens folder and used the ID that way. will it still work that way ?

and if you have yr face in game it will recognise yr manager name and put it there anyway

I am currently playing as Sunderland's manager. I got the excellent super premier league facepack 05/06 and the Sunderland face 05/06 facepack from Susie - follow here;-

After installing the facepacks, I added the photo I wanted into the Sunderland folder and named it "norman logan" which is my manager name. (I had to alter the opacity of the photo to 99% to make it show properly ans when set to 100% it comes out distorted and grey).

I then found out that my manager's personal id number was 100041325, (go to preferences and enable i.d. numbers, save the preferences changes thenn return to your manger profile - the id number will be below your name at the top).

Then open your .xml config file in the club's folder, and note that your file consists of lines like the following

Personally I used dreamweaver, but use whatever program you have - wordpad would do as well, and I cut and pasted the following line as follows:-

<record from="mick mccarthy" to="graphics/pictures/person/2020106/portrait"/>

A short bit of editing to make it read:

<record from="norman logan" to="graphics/pictures/person/100014325/portrait"/>

but in your case you would put whatever name your picture has, and your managers id number.

I then closed everything down and restarted the game. But, prior to loading the savegame I entered the preference screen, changed the skin, disabled the skin cache then saved the settings. I then re-entered the settings and reloaded the skin of my choice, loaded the savegame and voilla - the job's a good 'un.

OR... you don't need your ID number.
If your pic is called e.g. "my pic.png", and your name and birth date (in the game) is e.g. Paul Smith 20.12.80 , you put it like this:

<record from="my pic" to="graphics/pictures/person/paul smith 20-12/portrait"/>

You could put this into just about any pic folder there is, myself I have made my own "staff" folder, put my own pic in it and copied a xml file in there, deleted all entries and put it that line of code.
