Hi,
I've added the correct line in the config file and put a picture in to the folder.... and it appears

(The picture was my bodged photoshop effort)

I then get a proper kit made, and put it in the same folder with the same name and renamed the old one (so ididnt lose it)

Now my club info screen only shows home and away again.. not the third

Any ideas?

Delete the contents of the data\cache folder.

Also make sure the filename of your new kit matches the name given in the config file.

It's the same name.. will try the cache folder thing

Right....

Have tried all that... No luck.

Picture is the config file and the kit folder file....

It's strange all i did was add the word old to the old one and rename the other to the correct name - I have actually tried the old kit.. and now it doesnt work either..!!

Any ideas?

Havee you turned off the skin cache?

Other than that make a copy of one of the home shirts and rename it to barnsely_away and see if that shows.

(Barnsley do have a third kit ingame don't they?)

They have a 3rd kit IRL, but not in the game.

The infuriating thing is that i've seen the poorer one actually working last week, it's only when i've actually done one on a proper template size thing and changed it thats made it disappear.

I'm sure the skin cache is off.. cos i've added new player pics and skins which work :s

Will have to check cache later and get back to you.. cheers for stickin by me !

Created a 3rd kit by copying chesterfields and renaming.

Opened FM, unchecked cache (which is strange..cos i thought it had to be unclicked to run skins and additional pics... [and i'd done that before...]) Closed Fm

Reopened FM

Loaded game....

and there we are... 2 kits...

I then started a new game.... and it appeared..

Why doesnt it just change as player pics do?

I prefer Fm05.. where you could change a picture, refresh the screen and see if you'd done it right/it looked right...!!

So i'm kinda happy. (as i know it works) but miffed cos i'd have thought it shouldnt need a new game starting to do so (hasnt done for player pics)

In your save game do you have a slot for the third kit (on the club info screen if you have a third kit, the home and away kits will be moved to the left regardless of whether it shows or not). If you are not sure post up a screenshot of Barnsleys info page.

If the info screen only shows the Home and Away kits in the middle - then the game had no third kit assigned when you started the save, the only way the third kit will show is in a new game, after you have added a third kit in the editor.

After installing the brilliant EPL Creased Kits I had trouble with Arsenal & Fulham showing the 3rd kits.
1. I opened the 'FM data editor' in the FM2006 folder, clicked on 'File' and loaded the Database.After selecting 'Club' in the left column tab down to Arsenal then select 'Preferences',now in the right column select 'Scripts & Colours' This shows that only 2 kits were entered for the team.

2. I then clicked 'ADD'(#1) which popped up a set of different kits (#2),its not necessary to produce an accurate kit here,just the fact that there's now 3 of them.

3. Finally click on 'File'(#3) at the top and save the database to allow your changes to take effect.

All being well you will now get your 3 kits to show .... as a final note you may need to start a new game.
