Somekind of country map where the geographically position of the club could be highlighed.

Of course made by the community.

Imagine a map of England where you could click on club information and the background would change to this map where the was a circle where the club is.

This could just be a background picture, to keep it simple.

Also in the 2d match engine it should be customizeavble that little window that is displayed if a player is booked etc.

If we could customize it to add:
- player face
- choose if we should use long, medium or short team name (should be based on competition - as in Denmark long team names are never ever shown anywhere)
- add stats to that title so we could list that it was his 3rd yellow card in this competition (I know this isn't graphic)

I tried posting these ideas yesterday, but the keyword filter(?) took exception and deleted the post for some reason, so I've removed the idea which I'm assuming it didn't like:

Couple of things from the top of my head, or what I can remember other people mentioning and in no particular order, also not sure how practical/easy to do some of these are:

- Different shirts for competitions (i.e. Liverpools Champions League Kit this year, and I think some of the Italian teams wear different coloured shirts in European - Parma and Roma last season.).

- Link the reserve and youth teams to the main club, so if you have kits for the first club they will show for the reserves and youths (like the logos do), or just no longer give the reserves/youth teams random IDs.

- Abilty to assign a default image to all players/teams/nations/comps. i.e. assign say file default1 to all teams, default2 to all players, default3 to all comps etc... (without having to have IDs for all players/teams/comps)

i.e. something like this:

- Abilty to have a default image appear for player faces, for players who don't have one (i.e. instead of no picture appearing, you get a black siluote)

- Recolourable keeper dots for matches (add an extra option under the kits in the editor where you can choose the keeper kit, for home, away third?) (NO need for a keeper kit icon in the club info screen though)

- Customiable pitch - patterns (circles, lines, squares etc...), weather affects (mud patches when wet, that can appear during the game, water affects when raining?) (Add the abilty for you to do them and/or for us)

- Adding code so the competition logo can be displayed on the match title/sidebar.

- Having different match pop-up (pop-up for offside, cards etc...) designs for different competitions (i.e. allow us to have one design for the premiership, one for the champions league...)

- More control over what we can add to different screens - i.e. added extra views into the tactics screen, you can add in data appearing on team screen, but can not add in what foot they use. Also you can not move info panels to different screens i.e. moving info from the profile screen to the transfer screen.

- Popups for different events, i.e. introduce them for goals that could say at the bottom, age, goals, assists, caps etc...

That's not very easy to do though. Would be a hell of a lot of work and research and there isn't really anywhere in the game that a map could be suitably placed IMO

I personally think the idea of the map would be a top idea.

Could bring back the old school 'next fixture' screen and have the map there.

Just like they do on the sky sports show of the spanish league they will show a map of spain and say it is real madrid vs barcelona they will show the flag of real madrid above where madrid is on the map and the same with barcelona.

There aren't many big graphics in the game so this may make up for that.

Just an idea.....

from,but it may need time to research,
2 having a bigger player photo is also good
as i want to see the whole body of a player
than just the face.

the option to decide what side of the pitch the dugout is on

(Luton and Fulham fans will get this as their dugouts are on opposite side of picth to tunnel hence a huge parade of staff and subs waling across the pitch)

Possible to include:
- stadium picture
- squad photo

Where there is a link from the club information page to the stadium picture if a picture is set.

The same with a link to the squad photo somewhere.

These pictures could be added by the community just like all the face packs, team logos etc.

Yes but the idea is that it's the community that does this job. SI just provide with a bare screen where we can add this picture.

To keep it simple there is no computation in the game where the dot should be. Just a link to a picture we as a community could provide.

We just need a new folder structure to store the pictures, and to link it using the config.xml file:

eg: graphics/geo_map/eng/arsenal
