Was just wondering, is there any way to edit a player to ensure he becomes a coach when his playing days are over? thanks.

Only in the pre-game editor before you start playing a new game. And they become coaches with immediate effect, not when they retire, player-coach.

Or, if the player decides to go into coaching, you'll get a message saying he has got his coaching badge or something.

Is it a random thing, or is has one`s coaching ability something to do with the former playing ability?
That has been puzzling me for several years now.
