You mean getting points from the good sides by playing defensive counter attacking style, and then repeatedly dropping points due to an odd goal against the poorer sides in the league, where you dominate but your players seem to think that football matches is won much in the same way the winner of Miss Universe is decided?
Cause if you do, I can safely say that I have |

| Probably you should read posts in Tactical Theorem thread. They mention about 5x5 defensive line theory that should emulate arsenal-esque style of play..

I am Arsenal and am in my 4th season and dont have this problem at all I play very attacking style with there team because you can because of of there middies and additiono of a wingback mean you can attack from the back as well with say marcelo and Eboue.

How do you set up your full backs for arsenal,
mine are on mentality of 7 creative freedom of 7 passing 7 closing down 7 i normaly have them do fwd runs mixed if the other team is using wingers with small farrows and rarely if they have amc with farrows mr ml with long farrows, i only have them on fwd runs often if there are defensive or they are narrow. i always play full width.
I cant get my full back to ever get over 7.00 rating avg last season i only got about 6.60 max out of them god knows why in 06 fullbacks was my best players for ratings.
thanks for any kind remarks |

I mean as in our short, slick passing... our beautiful freeflowing passing.
Does anyone know how to set the tactics so that, like Arsenal, not many players get in the box for crosses, etc?

I would say The wolverine tactic with a bit of tweaks for the new patch emulates arsenal's tactic quite well...not that it was designed to |

Okay... I've get everything sorted... except for who to give free roles to... I was thinking when it's a 4-4-2... the wingers and both strikers... and when it's an attack minded 4-5-1... the wingers, one centre mid (Rosicky) and the striker.

i havent made a tactic that would be able to accomidate the cons that a free role brings, but if i did then rosicky would be the man for the job, maybe henry if hes getting man marked.
Im interested to see a 451 that works for arsenal, i am thinking of doing 1 for tough away match, the reason a free role would suit this imo is because you could have 1 striker and 1 amc/mc sole jobs as creating things and looking for space while you have the rest fighting to win balls then joining in with attack.

I think Hleb's an automatic choice for free role, he drifts a hell of a lot.
