It's no use having a squad full of star players without a decent way for them to play their football.

Default Team talk totaly rubish??

I decide to pay a litle atention to team talks feedbacks and i keep on checking my team talks after every game and it seams like it is totaly no need for it. I mean only on extreme rare occasions at half time team talks anything happened and most time they dont even listen. And when im not satisfied with them and i flame on them they become un happy. Im starting to ask myself what am i dooing wrong.

I find that the same players become unhappy when you lay into them after a bad performance, so I just get rid! The same players usually react badly to press comments, so it's not always bad to get shot of them. When it comes down to it though, most don't listen to the team talk. I just want to surround myself with yes men

Don't pay too much attention to the "Didn't seem to be listening" - most people complaining about team talks, thinks that it is a major problem that the players don't listen, but it is to be interpreted as the game's way of telling you, that your team talk didn't do neither any good not harm.

If you win 10-0 and tell your players they were fantastic (surely the right thing to say after a 10-0 win), you will still find players that did not listen. It does not matter - their morale is still superb.

The Majority of team talks really are quite easy. Just be sensible: If you tell them you expect a win, 0-0 at half time is not good enough.

The difficult team talks are the ones were some players perform while others do not.

Team talks work after a while. Check what the asistent manager tells you when you ask for team talk feedback. He'll tell you for every player: "nothing specific noted" and "your players don't have a high level of understanding". But after, let's say, 25 matches, you'll see at some players "looked delighted". That's when you reach "your players are blending well together". So have patience. The team talks work very well and they can really motivate most of your players.

My players have "forged an extremely strong understanding" yet the only response from them in the last 20 - 30 games i can recall is when my assman hasnt said anything then a few of them are angered and confused. It dosent matter whether he says pleased disappointed angry what ever they just ignore him

team talks just don't do anything noticable for me... IRL team talks are very VERY important, I know how our coach used to pump us up, we played so much better 2nd half... but in fm I can't see the difference.

I usually put 'we can win this!", both before and during half-time or when it is available 'outplaying them everywhere'. If we're in the lead at half time I just say 'pleased'.

If I have players with high mental stats I sometimes tell them "I expect a performance from you". And if I field some youngster I pick "I have faith in your ability", or "no pressure today".

It has worked reasonably well for me. Getting plenty of "looked delighted" feedbacks and squad morale is usually high.

For me team talks do work in most of the times. So you can't say it's a bug.
