It's no use having a squad full of star players without a decent way for them to play their football.

has anyone tried this in the lower leagues, where pace is more important in a targetman rather than heading and jumping

As to finding a good sweeper, I've had the same trouble and it seems like a CB will work aswell. I've moved the SW forward, and adjusted him to ultra def - and as far as I can see from matches he works the same

Haha, propably the worst name for the topic I've ever seen!!!

Okay, tested this tactic a bit, for 10 games total, won 2 tied 5 lost 3.

Tactic works very well, except...

In practically every game I got a 2-goal lead, and ended up tying or losing many games. So, it seems that when opposition gets down by few goals, they start to crack this thing. Sometimes this is pretty funny, for I was leading Chelsea in league cup game 4-0 till 60 minutes, and lost 5-6 overtime. 2 own goals, and one penalty... But who cares about league cup, eh...

So has someone implemented some tweaks considering keeping the lead? I haven't found anything solid, at least not yet.

Great tactic anyway, and especially for me having 8 capable strikers in my squad...

1. Sweeper: If you don't have a good sweeper in your team, a central defender can be re-trained for this position. Actually, this gives you an opportunity to use the thirth "skilled-but-not- fast-enough-defender".

To my mind, the sweeper needs good positioning, influence and other tactical skills.

He does not need to be as fast as the other defenders. So, as a conclusion the "old dude" can be played in this position with luck.

One example, Sami at liverpool is "over the top" as a central back in this tactic, but I am quite confident that he can do well as a sweeper.

The next question:
Disco-Stu: depending on the team you manage, consider tweaking the wingers by making them more defensive when you are up by 4 to 0 against Chelsea. But, if you manage a great team (man u, arsenal or lfc) the tactic should cope with the problems.

I've noticed that the tactic works great against "normal" tactics, and especially in regular matches. One problem is, if the opposition throws all in attack, the tactic seems to have problems down the flanks.

So, let me know if any of you guys tweak the tactic to the better!
