If you had a chance to ask a member of the SI team 1 question about the training or tactical side of FM what would it be?
Take the time to think about this and put a bit of thought into the question. I'm interested to see what people come up with. You never know I might try and get someone to answer them for you
Try and make it something you can't normally get an answer for though and not 'whats the best stats' etc.

Good question.
I think it would be a question regarding mentality for sure. What exactly does it affect? Does it affect player's positioning? Does it tie in with closing down? How exactly does it affect passing? Is it related to risk? What other instrunctions does it work in direct correlation with?
Mentality is boss I think.

OK- we all know that playet attributes will go up with a number of factors like training schedules and facilities, coach attributes, game time, age etc.
Can someone from SI advise which of the above factors is the most important and put the rest in order of impostance plus by how much will attributes increase if all the correct bells are rung with facilities.

I think any single question relating to tactics has to look at the relationship between player and team instructions.
i.e. What is the impact of team mentality/creative freedom, etc on the individual settings. i.e. is a player on 20 mentality playing in a team with 1 mentality less attack minded that if he were in a team with 20 mentality?
Although it's obvious that he would be more attacking within the team, it's not immediately obvious the extent to which it affect the individual players actual reactions to a situation.
My major concern in relation to this is that although I like my team to get back behind the early as soon aas we lose possesion (with the defense at a DL of 8) I still like the forward players to close down further up the pitch (but without diving in too much, which 20 CD makes them do). However I don't want to increase their individual attacking mentalities too far, as it makes them more careless with possesion. Therefore, I believe that the natural thing to do woul dbe to increase the team mentality to force the less defensive players out towards the ball a bit.
There are bloody millions of questions though!!

I have selected my team and set my team and player instructions. Would it be possible for these to be visible on the player position screen? This way after every instructional alteration, the effect of what I have done will be immediately apparent.
For instance, if I choose deep defense, it will show my defense lining up about the eighteen yard line. If I choose push up, it will show my defensive line at about the half way line. This way, the whole teams line up and shape will be shown as well. This will also enable me to see how far the defense is from the midfield and the midfield from the attack.
Based on the size of the gaps between the defence, midfield and attack, I shall then be able to "tweak" each part of the team and actually see what is happening to the formation and shape of the team. Kind regards to all.

If Si will answer some questions, I wont be asking them about features implemented sorry. Id rather use the questions to clear up some of the confusion people have with instructions etc. As they wont tell you anyways, I bet they'd just say maybe its something we can see in the future etc. They wont discuss features.
Although your idea might be worthy of posting in GQ.
