I've been struggling with with fm07 since the day I started playing it. I've been playing cm/fm series since the early 90's and I have to say this has been easily the toughest game yet. I'm the kind a manager who is used to take a premier league/serie a/ La Liga team that is predicted to relegation and make it a champions league team after the first season. But in this version i've really struggled with my defensive record pretty much with every team. This suppose is no surprise given the teams I play but still its frustrating as hell . As I was starting to struggle more and more I began reading these guides people have written here, mainly Cleon's. I think i'm starting to get a grip of this game now and made some nice tactics that seem to work well. As result I just finished the most satisfying season yet in this game. Finished my first season with Southend and managed guide them to premier league after nail biting playoff match against Ipswich. This may not be the mightiest achievement ever but boy did it feel good .
So big thanks to all the people who have made/are making these very useful guides to these forums and to mods (CLeon) specially for tolerating these "Gimme ze super tacticz now!!" people
Now to guide Southend to premier league title in the second season....and frak if I fail the game cheats and I'll quit!1!1!!!

It doesnt have to be winning the CL final to feel great with the game-well done. You make a lot of good points there and are a lesson to those who come on here to complain that despite what they do, they cant win a game. It is not easy nor is it meant to be. If you work at the tactics, then resonable success is out there waiting.
