It's no use having a squad full of star players without a decent way for them to play their football.

Default One-touch football

Playing the game, I recalled a thread based on tempo and it's meanings, where Cleon said that one-touch football can be acheived by using a passing style of 1. I have thought about it, and cannot understand how this can be. Is one-touch football really dependant on the directness of play? I'm sorry to dig up bones from the past, but I am intrigued to hear more. How can we acheive one-touch football and how is this related to RL?

I think you can achieve one touch football on the game by setting the tempo to as quick as can be and the passing to the shortest. correct me if im wrong

For 1 touch football all you need to do is put the passing slider to 1 and a medium tempo.

Why is this? Is one-touch football the shortest option at all times, therefore requiring less time to consider options? Are'nt tempo and Passing meant to be mirroring each other for maximum effect?

Also, do you find it efective in the game?

I believe its for players with very good passing stats aswell as concentration and anticipation

Yes, thats why you need technical players to play a short passing game.

they are linked yes, but its not a rule of the thumb. One touch football is played slow imo, while the passing might be hurried, the build up play is rather slow and teams bide their time and rather wait for an opening.

And yes currently in my 5th season and this is the style I play now due to my players being the best you can get.

It's no good trying to retain the ball when you are playing one touch football. If you had it on slowest tempo it wouldnt be one touch anymore
