I was in the middle of a very satisfying match 3-0, 85th minute and went on to win 4-1. However, when they scored their goal gary neville had been miles out of place.

This appears to be ok.

However, it is what happens next that annoys me.

Neville miles out of position

As you can see he is miles out of position. Nicolaus Anelka is set to closing down never and tight marking always so why does neville so this?

Nevilles tactics

Can anybody explain why neville did this and how i can change his tactics from doing this again in a more potentially costly way

Only a couple of quick observations, but I don't know how your whole tactic works.

1) The closing down and mentality of Neville look quite high.

2) The other defender that's back there seems unwilling to do his job, so Neville feels he has to do it.
