Just something I personally noticed (for me).

read above, every league in the game plays the same way. However its the players you have, teams you play etc that is different. Not the style of football.

In a way, countries have different styles. Cleon states that the teams you come up against effect how your tactic performs. Ergo, if the managers in Italy like to line up in a different manner (e.g. without the dominance of 4-4-2) you'll have to tweak/change your tactics to cope with the different opposition. It's not as explicit as 'You need a lower tempo to play in Italy', but the effect is the same.

| You have to do that regardless of what country you are in though. Its the managers who have different playing styles not the countries.
I think what the original poster wanted to know was, did the styles differe in the other countries if he managed there. For example Spanish would be flair, while English would be fast paced and very physical etc.

Cleon is clearly right. I have used the same philosophy in leagues all across Europe and had great success everywhere, which clearly wouldn't be the case irl.
A good example is the fact that it's possible to use a dedicated playmaker in the EPL in-game, whereas it just doesn't happen irl, and very probably isn't possible since the league is so focused on industrious midfields.

I have started a game wioth Juve, and yesterday I saw a team employing a 3-5-1-1 formation with a straight midfield line and no midfielder on farrows. It completely outnumbered my midfield as I was playing a 4-3-2-1, and I had to change things to get a grip on things. Come to think about it, the English league is probably the most predictable when it comes to opposition tactics, and you can sort of prepare a good tactic and continue with it eyes closed pretty much throughout the game. The Italian league at least threw me more surprises

Again though this is more to do with the managers' preferred formations than any league setting though.
