I can't understand how you can believe that nonsense [confused]

But ok, if you want to know more about the upcoming Photoshop 8 (probably at the end this year), here's an article for you:

Hey, Gauss, what's a Windows man doing reading a Mac rumors site? [:I

Anyway, ThinkSecret usually gets it right, so 4th quarter 2003 is prolly a good approximate date for PS 8. At least I hope so...I just got 7 recently!

Interesting news. 4th quarter would seem a bit late to me, but maybe not. Fortunately I have a maintenance contract. When the version changes I get updates right away on Photoshop, Illustrator, In-design, mmm, probably some others also. Photoshop alone is , I think, 35 licenses.

Ohh, C'mon [bustagut] My v7 is not even 2 months old with me and now I hear that a v8 is coming out? Okay, end of the year maybe.

Adobe, have a heart, please [shocked] [upset] [bustagut] [bustagut].

Default JESUS CHRIST!

Sorry

But Adobe's dev cycle has been 18 months for as long as I remember.

And that means I'll probably need to get writing sometime in the fall this year.

Damn. My 7 book isn't even cold yet! Ah well. Upgrades are how companies make their money.

My Best,
Wot a headache,
Gare

As well as writers like you, gary hehehe [bustagut] [:I .

Problem is - imagine all the software companies upgrading their wares at the same time. OUCH on my poor asian bank account :{ .

Problem is: do you need to upgrade? Adobe tries to convince you that the answer is: "yes, undoubtably". But I must admit that there are whole rooms and cellars in the castle that is Photoshop that I've never even visited.
And I wonder what they may add that attracts me, that I can use...and that I want to pay money for...
PS7 came out because of OSX. And now PS8 will only work under Jaguar. Who is playing with whom now?
