Johnson has served me very well for my Manchester United team. Guaranteed goals and he usually saves me in tight games. I am now in my third season and he got hurt at the beginning of it and he is have a hard time staying fit though. Last year he lead the team in goals, MOM awards, average rating, and was voted player of the season by the fans for a team that won the League and CL double.

I had that trouble when I tried to get him at Aberdeen. He came and I planned to farm him out to my Spanish feeder club but he wouldn't go. Had to sell him in the end because I didn't know about the 'cheat' where you offer him a contract as a key player, yaddayadda, etc.

Johnson got 51 goals in 51 (I think) games for my west brom side alongside his partner Lasse Qvist who got over 40... Pretty happy. He won't sign a new contract now though, so I might have to sell him even though I don't want to. Gutted

Is it a random factor that he retires, because on my game, like a few others, he doesnt sign a new contract, then at the end of the 2nd season he retires at 24. I tried to offer him a contract, but didnt have the option too. Is this a random factor in the game

| Yep, this happened to me as well when I was US National team manager. Disappointing because he was fantastic for my team, but I found a couple of decent replacements.

In my game he was released by Kansas City and then retired. I was just about to sign him as well.

Eddie is one of the FM 07 players that is DRASTICALLY better on the game than he is IRL. He has very little skill IRL. He's just a speed demon, basically.

| He WAS developing into quite a striker. That changed after two things happened - he signed a huge (by MLS standards) contract and injured his toe which cut his season in half. He hasn't recovered since, and is on his way to becoming another Clint Mathis. He's still young, so if he ever regains his hunger for the game the sky is still the limit for him.
