You may remember me from a few months ago posting a few questions about some LLM guidelines that I thought were a bit ambiguous, ahead of starting my first ever LLM game on CM4 when it was eventually released.

Well... *cough*... my CM4 from SI Towers never arrived as it was lost in the post. As there's still a few major bugs to iron out in CM4, and I've played my Premiership-raping Aston Villa game to death, I thought I'd crack on with an LLM game in CM01/02 anyway and see what happens.

I'm going to start at Adelaide City in Australia. Yes it's a one-division league but they're probably the worst team in the division, so we'll see. I'm also running a few other leagues - Brazil, Argentina, Japan, South Korea, England, France, Germany, Spain, Italy and Wales (I would have added Scotland but I'd pressed continue before realising )

This could be an unmitigated disaster but oh well, let's give it a shot.

Forgot to mention I'm using unreal players, and you can add USA to that list above.

Started with a A$60,000 defecit in the bank, so it was straight to selling players. I'm hopeful that I can grab a few players on frees though, I need them. Sold a player for A$200,000 so the debt is sorted, but still no transfer funds. Applying SWYCT, the only place I can tour is Fiji, which would make for a nice holiday but no chance of getting any decent players.

not wishing to jump on my old mate Spencer's thread, but can i class a team from the NSL as a LLM Team?. ..

Im not faulting Graham, cos if this is ok, i'd love to manage one of the teams, as being an Aussie im more familiar with the players. .. :cool:

And yes, this will be my first go at LLM. .. and im looking forward to the challenge after a decade of Ch**ting !!!

Technically yes, as they are the lowest league in that country available.

Most if us don't go that way because you really can't go anywhere, and as per the forum header:

For managers that enjoy the challenge of bringing a lower league team to the top - without the need for tipping, cheating or bragging

It kinda loses the meaning when there is only one league.

Quick update a couple of weeks into the new season. I won't bombard you with updates, maybe one every half-season, but seeing as I'm just getting started...

The board 'expect me to build the squad' this season. Should keep me in a job for a while, at least they're prepared for crapness

First game was at home and it looked like being a happy start, but I was denied a victory late on by Woollongong Wolves and had to settle for a 2-2 draw. Next league match saw me crash to earth with a 4-0 defeat at Melbourne. I have a fairly young squad, average age 22. I'm having to sell off a few of the older players as they're worth a bit more, and I'm relying on the quality of my scouts to get me some good free transfers. Still no transfer funds as yet, but hopefully this should change soon.
