Default Scandinavian Tranfer Rules

Actually that does sound funny, but since you're not talking about Denmark and Norwy is involved I'd wait for Muppetkokken to pop up and find the answer for you.

Could take a look at it though.

Norway isn't part of the EU and I suppose thats why the transfer rules are different. I can't say for sure though.

I think it is more of a bug. In 2000/01 edition you could get Norwegians, Danishers and Finns in this way. It is like signing a player from Scotland, when you are playing UK game.

As for now, I do not know

Pretty late reply though, but...

...As far as I know, we got the same transferwindows as the rest of Europe. Only problem is that no-one in Norway has figured out to use them properly yet. One thing is for instance that they argue about the fees for young players.

BUT! We should have the same rules as the rest of the EU since we're a part of the EEC. And I don't think that you're abusing a bug or anything, due to the fact that it is a lot of these transfers in Norway/Sweden.

I think what it is is the reason for having to pay compensation is because having to release the player will improve a rival clubs team...

However if you go abroad to pick up the player, you don't have to pay compensation as they are not a rival team...

Think at the top end of the league on CM, you wouldn't have to pay compensation to Man Yoo for there versitile young Irishman if you were managing Roma...

The annoying is, the players (who run out of contractat Swedish clubs) never seem to leave their club, and when you can't afford the 2k compensation for a player that will turn your season it's very annoying! You just have to wait 'til they go on a free a start a bidding war (my record was with 52 (Fifty-two) other clubs!)

And yes, I had a fair number of foreigners (Norwegians, Finns and a couple of Danes) in my team too, although they were mostly Swedish player I found with the youth search...
