With me being forced out of Billericay, I've loaded up a new game on CM3 01/02 with this season's official data update.
Leagues running are England, France, Germany, Greece, Holland, Ireland, Italy, Northern Ireland, Portugal, Scotland, Spain, Turkey & Wales, all with feeder leagues where appropriate.
For the first time LLaMaing, I've actually picked my team based on a connection I have with the town. A London friend of ours had some two exchange students over from here a couple of years ago, and we've visited them there.
I am manager of Real Ávila of Spain's Second Division B Group 1.
Ávila is a small town (and a lovely little place) around an hours drive from Madrid.
Traitorously, the two Spanish girls are Real Madrid fans.
Ávila play at the Adolfo Suarez ground, with a capacity of 6000 and adequate facilities. All staff is in place and positions are just about covered, but Ávila are a little club and their players and staff reflect this. I do have some money £350,000 to spend though.
I sign an Italian Assistant Manager, a AM/F R from Tenerife, a F C from Real Madrid and a M LC from Deportivo la Coruna for a total of £290,000.
We start with a win over Marino, who turn out to be the worst team in the division. We follow up by conceding four goals away. Twice. My left back gets sent off for a foul (no suggestion of violence) and gets banned. My appeal sees it increase to 9 games!
The transfer windows opens in December. I sign a veteran keeper who had served years for AC Milan, two centre backs and a striker. They all fit in perfectly as we lose the next game at home by a single goal.
Overall we're struggling, especially when we leave our quaint little town...
I have two games running... and now I don't have a club in either!
We sure put up a fight. We were even riding as high as 13th at one stage, but I knew our run in was tough as we played mostly sides from the top six.
With three games to play we still had a good chance of avoiding relegation. However, a terrible home defeat to Lanzarote, who were below us at this point left us with a mountain to climb.
We needed to beat Real Madrid B in our final game. A 1-1 home draw saw us relegated, though this proved academic anyway when both Lanzarote and Las Palmas won anyway at teams already in the promotion playoffs. I smell a rat...

So now, I have no job. I've selected all the leagues to foreground and applied for jobs in 10 of the 13 countries I am running (there are no vacancies in Wales, Northern Ireland or the Republic).
Three stand out - Hastings Town, newly promoted to the Conference, Brechin City, newly promoted to Division 1 and some Spanish team that I can't remember with a stadium capacity of a mighty 800.
These Spanish relegation dogfights aren't bloody easy I can tell you!
Doesn't matter if Brechin are in a lower league. I started in the lower leagues and as long as I play the LLaMa way it will because I have 'earned' the job.
'Earned' because they would be bloody stupid to offer it me with a record of one season and one relegation.
